OUR HISTORY
T.J. Lambrecht Construction evolved from our predecessor Brown and Lambrecht Earthmovers, which was founded in 1947. It was in that year that LaVerne “Bitz” Brown and Paul Lambrecht pooled $7,000 in borrowed money to fund the purchase of a new 1947 Dodge dump truck and International TD9 dozer with a Bucyrus-Erie hydraulic blade.
During the 1950’s and through the 1960’s, Brown and Lambrecht enjoyed significant growth with the advent of the interstate road system and an expanding nuclear power program in northern Illinois.
In the 1970’s Paul Lambrecht's son, Tom, joined the business. Shortly after Tom’s addition, Brown and Lambrecht began venturing out of the Midwest to seek out further opportunities. In 1986, Paul and Tom Lambrecht purchased Bitz Brown’s interest in the company. That year, the successor company, T. J. Lambrecht Construction Inc. was formed. As T.J. Lambrecht Construction expanded it’s sights to the west, it began to focus on the state of Texas. In 1994, TJL opened a permanent office in Euless, Texas – right between the burgeoning cities of Dallas and Fort Worth. Since that time, T.J. Lambrecht has become a prominent contractor in the state, most notably participating as one of the prime contractors in the recently completed billion dollar project constructing SH 130 Segments 1-4.
We are proud of our history and grateful for the strong foundation that was built for us by Paul, Bitz and Tom.
